Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup reveal: How to watch live in the UAE
Pro models feature triple cameras, 8K recording and larger batteries
DUBAI – Apple’s highly anticipated “Awe Dropping” event takes centre stage on Tuesday, September 9, at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
The showcase is expected to introduce the iPhone 17 series, alongside new updates to the Apple Watch and AirPods ranges.
For fans in the UAE, the live keynote begins at 9pm GST, streamed directly from Apple’s official channels, including its website, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.
iPhone 17 lineup
The star of the event is the iPhone 17 lineup, featuring four models – the standard iPhone 17, the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, and the more advanced Pro and Pro Max editions.

The iPhone 17 Air, designed as Apple’s sleekest device ever, measures between 5.5 and 6.25mm in thickness. It includes a 6.6-inch display and lightweight titanium-aluminium body but may come with trade-offs such as a 2,800mAh battery and a single 48MP rear camera.
The standard iPhone 17 now matches the Pro model with a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will carry 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays respectively. The Pro Max could also pack a massive 5,000mAh battery, giving it the longest life of the series.
How will it perform?
Performance is set for a leap with Apple’s latest A19 and A19 Pro chipsets. While the base and Air variants are expected to feature 8GB of RAM, the Pro models may boast 12GB to handle Apple Intelligence functions. Across all models, LTPO OLED panels with ProMotion technology will bring a 120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and video playback smoother than ever before.

Camera technology also receives a notable upgrade. A 24MP TrueDepth front camera will feature on every model, while the Pro and Pro Max add a 48MP triple-lens setup with 8x optical zoom and 8K video recording. These models may also introduce astrophotography modes and a new “camera island” design with a bold two-tone finish, including a striking orange option.
How much will it cost?
Pricing is expected to stay consistent with previous generations: the base iPhone 17 at $799, the Air between $899 and $949, the Pro at $1,099, and the Pro Max starting at $1,199. Storage on the Pro models begins at 256GB.

Beyond smartphones, Apple is also rumoured to unveil the Apple Watch Series 11 with new health features, the rugged Apple Watch Ultra 3 with satellite messaging, and the AirPods Pro 3 with health sensors and improved Active Noise Cancellation.
With this line-up, Apple aims to redefine its hardware ecosystem, all of which will ship with iOS 26 and its latest AI-powered features.
